ABOUT US
Five Senses House was never just a holiday house to us.
A place where nature, space, and people become one experience.
OUR STORY
THE ESTATE BEFORE THE NAME
Five Senses House was never just a holiday house to us.
From the beginning, we saw it as a place where nature, space, and people become one experience. A place where the day does not need a schedule, conversations can last longer, and time spent together becomes valuable again.
The wooden house, forest, view, water, calm, and privacy are all parts of the same story.
Five Senses began as someone’s home — a place of peace, people, conversations, and time spent together.
That story was started by Ružica Kralj Ruška, our aunt Ruška.

AUNT RUŠKA — THE FIRST CHAPTER
She turned an almost wild piece of nature into a home.

Today you see a wooden house, garden, infinity pool, wellness, and a view opening for miles across Prigorje. Aunt Ruška once saw something entirely different.
She saw a wooded hill that was difficult to reach, a piece of land without a proper road or infrastructure, and years of work still ahead. But she also saw peace, space, forest, air, and the possibility of creating the life she wanted.
Ružica Kralj Ruška was a psychotherapist, sociotherapist, educator, and author, but it is difficult to describe her by profession alone. She was curious, refined, unconventional, and deeply interested in people and their stories.
After living in Zagreb, she found her hill near Sveti Ivan Zelina and slowly turned it into her own small world. She expanded the land, arranged access, brought in infrastructure, built the wooden house, and shaped the garden around it.
From an almost wild piece of nature, she made a home. But it was never only a house. It was a place for encounters, long conversations, friendship, silence, and nature.
Years later, we continued her story. We added the infinity pool, jacuzzi, new spaces, and amenities, and opened the estate to guests. Much has changed, but we never wanted to change what matters most: nature, privacy, timber, the view, and room for people to have time for one another.
That is Ruška’s part of Five Senses, and we want it to remain part of its story.
WE CONTINUE THE STORY TOGETHER
A NEW CHAPTER OF THE SAME PLACE

Five Senses House is a family-run estate. Behind it is not a large tourism system, but a family that has known this place for years, cares for it, and continues to develop it season by season.
We did not want to erase what we inherited or turn it into something entirely different. We wanted to give it a new chapter.
We have developed it slowly, guided by our experience and feeling for the space, trying to make every change meaningful while protecting the wooden house, greenery, open view, peace, and sense of slowing down.
From the youngest to the oldest, everyone in our family has become part of this story in their own way.
FIVE SENSES TODAY
A PLACE NOT MEASURED ONLY BY ITS AMENITIES
Today we share Five Senses with people who come to rest, spend time together, celebrate something, or simply change their rhythm for a few days.
The pool, wellness, terrace, games room, and all other amenities are important, but they are not the whole story.
The real value is often found in simpler things: morning coffee beside the open horizon, an afternoon without a schedule, a long evening around the table, and the sound of the forest through the trees.
Five Senses House carries our name today, but its first chapter was written by aunt Ruška.
